To Sam More Than Just a Dog

by Susan and Gary
(Cornwall)

To say that Sam was just a dog would be a total injustice. He was truly amazing. You could not ask or want any more from a dog. He had an amazing soul, but he was nobody's fool either. Like his owners, he would not be pushed into anything he did not want to do.

He went everywhere with us, and by that I mean he followed us to every house, flat and part of the country we moved to without being phased by it. He was always secure as long as we were with him--and this worked both ways because I always felt safe while he was by my side. That is probably the hardest thing for me to accept. Not only will I miss his physical presence and the fun the three of us shared, but the security he gave me.

I miss you so much Sam. You were a good soul and a beautiful dog that I loved from the get go to the end. I will always have a place for you in my heart and so will Gary. I hope that you are up in heaven looking down. And i'm sure we will meet again someday.

I love you.
