You're in My Heart Always!

I lost my sweet sweet little girl Tootsie this morning at 12 a.m. Thursday 2/7/2013. It is shocking to know how bad things can go in only 3 days.

She went from an active chubby terrior with curly hair on top of her head to an old dog with liver failure. She was 14 years old.

They wanted me to put her down, but I had things I needed to say. They said she wasn't in pain and I could tell she wasn't, so I took her home.

I told her where she was going and how much I loved her and that we would be together again and that her brother Bruty (we lost Bruty 7 months ago at the age of 15 1/2) was going to come and get her.

In less than 12 hours, Bruty came and Tootsie died in my arms. She was with me through everything. I lost both parents, and she was on my lap the whole time.

She loved hotdogs. Every night at 9:30 she would sit in front of the refrigerator to let me know it was hotdog time. She sat at my feet while I was doing dishes or cooking supper. I would vacuum and the cord would get stuck and there she was sitting on it.

She loved it when i fed her with a spoon. It made her feel special. She just didn't know how special to me she was.

This is a pain that only an animal lover feels. It hurts you to your soul. I feel so alone, and I am not alone. We have other pets but she was my girl, my Toot Toot. She never made a sound but the house seems so quiet.

For now, my love, go run and play with Bruty and we will come soon. You gave all you had to me. You did so good. Good girl!!!!

There is a place in my heart that will be yours forever.

Love you forever, mom and dad

You Are in My Prayers

I am so sorry that you lost your love. You are so right when you said that only an animal lover would know the pain of not having their beloved animal any more.

I lost mine a month ago and the only thing that gets me through is that I know I love her more than life itself and that she is no longer in pain.

Your pet will always be with you in your heart and soul.

My Sympathy

You are so right about the pain. We lost our goofy big guy Humphrey on May 5th. There are many days that I think about him and the tears still come.

We rescued a beautiful yellow lab in July because the emptiness of not having our Humphrey was so hard. He is the sweetest guy and my college age son and my husband, along with the rest of the family, including Grandkids love him, and so do I. But since Humphrey was my first dog ever, I realize he can never be replaced.

My deepest sympathy to you on the loss of your special girl.

Bruty and Tootsie Forever!

I am crying with you to read such a heart warming story.

Yes, she was a good girl and very happy to be home in your arms when she left with Bruty. I am sure Bruty was there with you at that time and I think you did the right thing taking her home.

I lost my Pug Max almost 3 weeks ago. He was suffering with leukemia. And I had to euthanize him just 10 days after they diagnosed the cancer.

We had such magical moments together. He is finally home now (his ashes came back to us).

Take care, my friend. They are happy up there on the rainbow bridge. Good going, Tootsie. R.I.P
