Wishbone's Little Sighs

by Laudie Tyler
(Levelland, Texas)

When I whispered in his ear and told him how much I loved him and what a precious gift he was and how he was "the best dog ever in the whole wide wide world," he would close his eyes and begin to let out these little sighs.

As I kept wispering these things, the sighs would grow louder, and sometimes with his sweet little head laying next to mine, he would fall sound asleep, perfectly content and dreaming happy dreams.

I miss you so much, and I love you more than I have words for.

I hope you had a chance to whisper those loving words to Wishbone while he laid his head in eternal sleep.

God's speed, Wishbone.
