In Memory of Our Tuppence

You no longer play and romp in the yard
Barking and running
You were always on guard

A bath? You could not care
Romp and stomp
to heck with the Hair!

Pure heart, loyal and true
You were our Friend
With the last breath you drew

We love you and miss you
And trying to get thru
We will never find another Tuppence
not another like you!

You will be with us forever
We are not really apart
Because you see we have buried you
Deep In Our Heart!

I loved that poem. Thank you for sharing it with all the other pet owners on this website who are "teary and weary" from the loss of their pets. What is it that allows a loving pet doggie to get to the very base of our hearts and control our emotions to the point where we feel this love for them and a love for life and when they're gone, it's like life feels as though it's come to an end?
