R.I.P Shannon
When we first got Shannon it was 2004. She was supposed to be my Christmas present but she came a little early around November 8. When I walked in her co-owner's house, I just knew that that was a new beginning of pet friendship.
When we got home Shannon went straight to my bed. I thought to myself that Shannon will be here forever because I'm not going to let anything happen to her. I guess I was wrong because 4 years later she got sick and wouldn't eat or drink a thing. We took her to the vet every day so they could give her food and water.
Then one day, April 10, 2008, at 6:00 am, around the time I get up to get ready for school, I found her laying there, not breathing. I checked for her heartbeat but there was nothing. I called my mom into the room.
When I heard her say "I'm sorry," I broke out into tears. That was the end of a great pet friendship!
