Sparky (Buddy)

This is a memorial to my furry kid, Sparky. He came to live with us some ten or so years ago. He just showed up one day, stuck around all day. He must have known that we loved dogs, beagles. We just opened the back door and he came in, just like he lived her forever.

Our dog Sophie was not too impressed with this new guy. After several weeks of trying to find his owners, we decided we wanted him to stay. He picked us to be his family, and we never regretted letting him into our hearts and home.

Today I had to say good-bye to a very dear companion. All the tests and vet visits, all pointed to bad news and not much time left. It was so hard to see him not feeling his self. Sparky still could wag his tail and he put up a good front.

We have one last dog here at home with us, Snickers. She is already looking for her friend. There is yet another hole in my heart that only memories can now fill. Our dog Sparky is now with Sophie and all the dogs up in doggie heaven. It so hurts and the tears are in my eyes.
