Rooney Looking towards heaven

This little terrier with the courage of a lion entered our lives August 12, 2009. He was dumped on the street. He found his way to out doorstep, as no one else seemed interested in helping. There were 3 other much larger dogs in the home. He just strutted on in, and said, "I sure could use a bite to eat."

We named him Rooney, because of his Andy Rooney eyebrows. He was barely 20 lbs. Mother's Day, May 8, 2011, he seemed lethargic and wouldn't eat. The next morning, after seeing my vet, We discovered that he was critically anemic.

He received 2 transfusions. Both failed. His little body was destroying itself. Evans syndrome, or immune mediated hemolytic anemia, was diagnosed. He passed on May, 12th @ 3 am, in my arms.

Rooney, you were our sunshine. Your brothers and sisters seem lost, but your mom and dad are beyond solace. Please let me know you are safe and happy.

Love you, Roonis.
