Rocky Cocky, the Best Dog in the World

On the 5th of January I took my boy to the vets to be put to sleep. Rocky, our old boy whom we rescued whilst he was walking along the motorway 14 years ago.

Rocky was such a character, loved by all my family and friends. He was cheeky, fearless, loving and loyal.

Although I say I rescued him, it truly was he rescued me. He was there through good and bad. He was there waiting at the door when I brought my children home for the first time and watched over them and didn't move from their side.

Recently Rocky became much weaker. He was deaf and blind and in pain with his old joints. Sunday night I watched him trying to get comfy. I knew that he was a shell of his younger self.

This decision was the hardest I have ever made. I am heartbroken.

I can't stop thinking about you, Rocky. I love you. You truly were the best. I was so lucky that you were my doggie. I will never forget you. Dad, Evan, Cerys and nanny love you too. xxxx
