Rest in Peace Mia

My bestest friend, ever

My bestest friend, ever

Since Mia left to go to heaven on the 14th of July, she has only been on my mind once, simply because she has never left, and never will. I miss her and love her so very much. She was my little sister, always there to greet me with a wagging tail and those deep mahogany eyes of hers.

I got her when I was just 6 years old, and she was the greatest role model anyone could ask for. Mia showed me how valuable life is, and to cherish every moment, as I have recently learnt.

She was the most beautiful ridgeback I'd ever come across, and I sure hope she's getting on okay in her new home.

Every time I go to sleep she's there, and I am so lucky to have known such an amazing girly. I have so many amazing memories that I shared with her, like the time I had chickenpox and she never left my side, and the time when she stole the sunday roast... hehe cheeky pup!

During your eight years on this earth, you shone so bright, and now you're doing the same every night up in the sky. I do look out for you, honest.

Merry Christmas, Mia. I love you so much. I wear your tag around my neck so I can hold it whenever I feel sad. You're my biggest comfort, and I would do anything just to have one last cuddle.

Thanks for everything <3
