Pippa

by Anna (Aged 10)
(Derby)

A lovely lass she was, with long hair and the perfect shiny black nose. Until she got dogs' alzheimers disease. She had to be taken to the vet on 22nd October 2010. Nothing could be done. She had to be put down. She was 16 years old in human years.

I'd known her all my life. I can remember when I was blowing bubbles and she was happily jumping and snapping away at all of them. That was the sort of life I always had wanted her to have.

If I had a choice, I would cure her illness and let her live forever. But that is part of life. She was a gentle rough collie and I miss her dearly. She will live on in my memory forever.
