Ode to Leroy Brown

You loved me unconditionally, as I did you. Your boundless enthusiasm for the littlest things in life caused me to see the world in a whole new way, and for that I will be forever grateful.

Whether it was your face in the window when I rolled home, the endless tricks you'd do for a biscuit, the happy dance you'd do whenever you saw the leash in my hand, or the snuggle puppies you gave so freely, you made every day you were with me full of joy, and it is your memory that will bring me joy thus forth.

You'll be missed tremendously every day by so many, but none so more than me. Dog of a thousand nicknames, you responded with a wag to every one, and gave love and loyalty without question every day you lived.

I only wish we had more time, but I know you will be waiting for me one day over the rainbow bridge, with the leash in your mouth, ready to show me around paradise.

Thank you, Leroy, for over 16 years of love and devotion. You will never be forgotten.
