There are times when life just isn’t fair. Things happen that are unfair, unexpected, and incredibly painful.

We opened our hearts and our home to our four-legged family member, our kids' pet and animal companion. We hoped for a full and healthy life, only for you to leave us so soon. We were with you for only a few weeks. You brought so much joy and laughter to the family.

I am heartbroken. What will I tell the kids? Where do I even start?
