My Nellie

My beautiful Nellie, these have been the hardest few months of my life. Losing you so soon after we found you has crushed my heart, and I don't think it will ever recover.

When I lost your sister I vowed no more dogs, but then I saw your gorgeous little face on a rescue page and just knew you were meant to be in our family.

You brought so much love and joy to us. Your brothers and daddy adored you, and you truly were my little best mate. Not a single day went by that I didn't pick you up for a cuddle and tell you how lucky mummy was to have found you.

I miss you so much, Nellie. You were only a baby, and two years wasn't nearly enough time with you. There was so much more I wanted us to do and places to explore.

I'll never stop thinking about you and loving you. And just like your sister, both your jumpers remain under my pillow.
