My Mimi Dog, Gone but Never Forgotten

by Fiona Ryan
(Wexford, Ireland)

To say my heart is broken is an understatement. A little over a year ago I said farewell to my 17 year old staffie Mimi.

She came into my life old and disheveled at the ripe old age of 10. I nursed her back to life with all the love and compassion I had in me. In return she gave me and my family so much love.

She passed peacefully on July 15th in my arms, surrounded by her pack.

I will be forever grateful she chose me to be part of her life. She came, she swam, she ate, she loved and enjoyed life.

These words are for you, Mimi. I will love you till the day we meet again.x
