My Four Legged Best Friend

When he was just a pup

When he was just a pup

The last thing I remember was,
I was praying to God to save your life.
To get rid of that illness.
Then you come to me, looking very sad.
Then I pat your head and say,
... "Later you will be okay."
Then you leave my room silently.
Until our last hour together, you tried to get my attention.
And I was hoping that you would live longer.
I'm so sorry, all I was able to give to you is just a kiss.
A kiss from a friend.
A kiss that says
"Don't worry, later you'll get well."
But "later" is another chapter that breaks my heart.
I woke up and found out that you died a couple of hours ago.
Now, I think you're with the angels, no pain to feel.

I just want to say that,
Me and your very best friend really miss you.
He cried a while ago.
He didn't know what happened.
I don't know how to explain it to him.
Instead, we played together,
the game you and he usually play.
But I know, things aren't the same without you here.
I promise to you, I will take care of your very best friend.
He needs a lot of adjustments.
He needs to be the leader of his own. Because he treated you as a leader, a friend, a brother, a family member.

Well thanks for being a good friend, ChuChu.
We will always remember you.
Though you are my pet, I loved you as a brother, which I never had.
And thanks for being a well disciplined dog.
Your life is not wasted.
You made me happy, since the first time we've met each other.
Thanks for the memories.
And sorry for the times that I had to be angry at you.
Rest in Peace, Best Friend.
We will miss you.
