My Angel, My Friend

Tassi Tara, my angel

Tassi Tara, my angel

The day I had to say goodbye was the day my eyes just wouldn't dry. I held you close, as close as I could until you passed away, which I knew you would.

Mom removed your collar and you looked up as if to say "Don't cry for me, I'll be okay. Please don't fear, for I'm always by your side to dry those tears you just cannot dry."

I kissed you goodbye and then I said "You will always be my angel, my friend."

Truly Our Best Friends
by: Barb

I read your post as well as others who have experienced this great loss of, yes, a family member. I experienced the same several months ago. Fortunately my son and I were able to take another "best friend" into our lives.

Our Banner was a best friend, funny, none could ever be like she was, but she is no longer with us. Within a few months we found a Doberman, Bennie, that was in rescue. He had been abused, but immediately let us know he loved us. Accepted us and loved us.

What have I learned from Bennie? Acceptance, forgiveness, unconditional love and willingness to give a second chance. What a God-given gift and teacher he has become.

Those suffering the loss, take another chance. Love again and accept love from a new best friend.
