Lucy, Not a Pet But One of the Family

by Sean Sullivan
(Dallas, TX)

I lost my Lucy way too early, after four incredible years. It was just like yesterday we rescued you from the SPCA. I was drawn to you even though they said you had been adopted twice and returned for the second time that very same day. I knew you just needed a family that could give you the love you deserved. You exceeded my wildest dreams.

You were not a pet, but one of the family, "the baby." There is a pain in my heart now that you are gone. I will miss the endless hours of fetch that you never seemed to tire from. The swims we would take. The long days we spent together at the house, just you and me, as I would do home projects and maintenance. The way you would wait for me to go to bed. I'm even going to miss you waking me up nightly at 3:30 to take you outside.

Thank you for your unconditional love. You will never be forgotten, Lucy My Love.

To Sean, Owner of Lucy
by: Karen, Owner of Tiger

Sean, Lucy sounded like quite a lovely dog, who was very, very, very lucky to have an owner such as you. Thank God, you were the one to take her home and keep her until the end. I was so very sorry to read that you lost her at such a tender age though. Just does not seem fair, does it!!!

You do need lots of big bear hugs for Lucy's untimely passing. She will always remain in your heart and soul, no doubt. I offer my deepest condolences at this time. PEACE .... LOVE ....
