Harley Girl

by Shelli
(Veron, Ontario)

She came to us 17 years ago as a bundle of yellow fluff. She will be leaving us this Friday for her own adventure in fields and pastures above. Our home will be blessed with memories of her loyalty and protection, but it will be empty of her glances and quiet of her bark.

She leaves with us her daughter, not quite as well behaved, but adored by us all. I trust she understands it hurts to watch her fail and the choice is the most unselfish decision we have ever had to make.

Her departure from this life will hurt like no other pain our family has experienced. I am hoping the tears will stop flowing and we can celebrate such an amazing dog we were blessed with.
