I lost a special friend yesterday
the kind you can't replace,
and looking at his empty bed
I still can see his beautiful face.

I know he's in a special place
our Lord has for such friends,
Where meadows, fields and flowers
help make them strong and whole again.

I know he's watching over us.
He will be with me when I cry,
So with one more kiss on his beloved head
I told my friend goodbye.

I have no idea what I am going to do without you by my side. You were my life. I miss you dearly.

May you rest in peace, my little wolf.

Your heartfelt and grieving words are the same words I used at the time I, too, had to say goodbye. Because of how I felt then and still do now (5 months since...), I am sending you positive thoughts, and yes, even prayers, to help you through this very difficult time.

Those who are "dog people" fully understand the depth of grief at letting go of such a great and loyal friend.

May you find some comfort in knowing how special you are in having been so kind and so gently loving to one of God's beautiful four-legged creatures.
