Silly Girl

Silly Girl

My poor girl suffered for 5 hours before I was able to send her off. She was the most loving little girl. Though very small for a boxer of 10 years (38 lb.), she had a big heart and loved everyone she ever met and they knew it.

How I miss her only a week or so later. Her big boy Dempsey, left here without her, mourns her as I do, bringing out her favorite toys and moping. Poor guy misses his mate. I'm sure he's wondering where she is.

I cry every day for you, girl. You loved to jump four feet high from a standstill. I'll miss that a lot. Though you were hit by a car at six months, you excelled and loved to run and swim with your boy. He'll miss that.

Remembering your great spirit, always loving with a loud bark that was worse than your bite, you never bit anyone, good girl, but I bet they thought you would with that loudness you greeted everyone with.

How gentle you were to our niece, who is missing your playfulness and wondering what room you are hiding in.

I can't even write anymore for the tears are pouring out of me, so I pray you have crossed the Rainbow bridge and will be patient in waiting for us!

Good Night Sweet Girl. I'll See You Again When I Cross That Rainbow Bridge!

Love,

Your Mommy and Daddy
