Words cannot express the heartbreak nor the loss I feel tonight
As I watch you struggling to grab a breath – knowing your heart can’t win this fight

For all you’ve done and all you’ve given – for the years of unconditional love
It’s now my turn to be the strong one – and help you reach that place above

Where once again you’ll have your youth – run beaches for countless miles
You’ve touched so many people Spencer – your kindness the source of a thousand smiles

No greater creature has walked this earth – your loyalty has been unswerving
You’ve protected me through thick and thin – your wisdom beyond your years
So with morning’s light, I’ll say goodbye my friend – amidst a million tears.
