I found my shadow
I waited a long time for you... and drove a long way to come pick you up. The minute I held you, my heart belonged to you. You were so goofy and made us laugh. How could we know that was a sign that you were sick.
We were devastated to find out that you had a liver shunt. I was not ready to give you up so we all fought the fight together to keep you with us and comfortable. My days were filled with cooking and caring for you. When you finally could not walk because your back legs gave out, we made a brace to carry the load for you.
You gave us happiness and love. When it was evident that you could no longer carry on without hardship, we made the hard decision to let you go, but I grieve for you still. Thank you for your lion roars and happy smiles and changing my mom's opinion about beautiful pitbulls.
Your Chiweenie still misses you and still looks for you. I know you are running free now, my sweet, sweet girl!
