Goodbye to my Best Friend

by Caper
(Cape Breton Nova Scotia Canada)

We lost a family member this past week. Bruce was our best friend for 13 years. He went everywhere with us, rarely separated over night. Iif we were going somewhere where Bruce was not welcome then we didn't go.

He gave so much more that he ever sought. His unconditional love will be with us always and we shall love him forever. When we pass on his ashes will be split and half put in each of our caskets.

Good bye for now to our precious friend. See you on the other side.

A beautiful friend

I understand your loss.

We just lost our beautiful German Shepherd, Ava. We got her in 2006 when she was four. She passed over the Rainbow Bridge suddenly on August 27, 2010. We had her almost five years. She must have been around nine or so years of age.

We miss her so much, and will love her forever. We miss her being in our room at night. She always slept in our bedroom. She was special as all dogs are to those who love them.

Bruce -such a cutie!

I'm sorry for your loss. I recently lost my Lucy Lu (1/16/10). Her memorial is on site.

Anyway, my new boy, Feather, was listed as an australian shepherd, but he looks so much like Bruce, I must ask, what breed of dog was Bruce?

I've been thinking Feather is that same breed. Bruce had all the markings, black on rust on those precious white paws. If he lived that long, he has nearly doubled the average life-span of the Berners according to the official pages.

Thank you for sharing about Bruce. Hope you clicked on the place where they send you the dog memorials. I always enjoy reading them because of the great love expressed for these teachers and friends.

My e-mail is: body_stones@hotmail.com

Sincerely,
LoriAnne
