Cruise 2001 - 2009

Cruise – we miss you terribly.

There isn’t a day that goes by that isn’t filled with a million wonderful memories.

You came to us as a cute, fat little puppy that loved to tear around the house and fetch “whatever.” You soon became our shadow – following us everywhere and trying to convince us to “just throw the darn ball.”

We will remember your sensitive, thoughtful eyes that always told us you loved us. The fun times we had were many – road trips to Copper Mountain and Cleveland; hikes around Pineridge Reservoir, Arapahoe Bend ponds or even to the top of Horsetooth; swimming in the ponds, lakes and streams to fetch a bumper; and running to the top of Vail pass.

You always welcomed visitors with a huge bark but had to have a toy in your mouth and a constant wagging and thumping of the tail. You were taken from us too soon and the eight years we had will always be treasured.

We miss your presence but will always hold you in our hearts.

Sleep well my sweet boy and see you on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Goodbye, you sweet doofus. We love you.

Pawprints
by: Gail (Argus)

May Cruise's paw prints be forever embedded in your hearts. And may the many teachings he offered stay with you forever. His time with you was way too short, but I'll bet he packed a lot into those short years!

Take care of one another! He would want that.

His memory and lessons live on...

My deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved Cruise, your best friend and most dedicated companion. I know how you miss him, but relish in the memory that he has given, and learn from what he has showed you. Live life to the fullest, wag your tail and enjoy every moment that life gives us.

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please know that, after a while, you will think less of Cruise's absence, and more of the wonderful times you had with him. I know this because I lost my little Pekingese Biscuit about a year ago, and I'm finally able to smile and laugh when I remember him now.

God bless,
Margaret Houck
