A Beautiful Boy

by Edward Paine
(ACT )

It is the 16th of January 2013 and this morning my dog Snoopy passed away.

He is a black purebred miniature poodle with beautiful brown eyes.

I awoke to my mum crying, saying the vet just called...

We took him into the vet on Saturday because he was not acting himself, not eating well and just not his usual happy self. The vet took xrays this morning and found out there was a problem with his liver.

Straight away they started to operate but whilst operating he went into shock and the little fella couldn't make it.

It didn't hit me until I went into the vet and wrapped him in his favourite blanket, just holding him helplessly with no life in him. I cried and cried.

He had just turned 7 on Friday, so I am grateful he lived a fulfilled life.

Just very upset to see him go. To help my grieving, I decided to write this memorial!

I hope peaople read this and respect the life of "Snoopy." He was a loving, kind-natured pet with not a bad bone in his little body.
He loved playing with his ball and just loved affection.

He will be missed by my whole family, and his two sisters ' Daisy' and 'Bella,' two other minature poodles we have.

RIP, Snoopy. Love you, my boy. I hope you're in doggie heaven.

A Prayer for Snoopy
by: Anonymous

A Parting Prayer

Dear Lord, please open your gates
and call St. Francis
to come escort this beloved companion
across the Rainbow Bridge.

Assign him to a place of honor Lord,
for he has been a faithful servant
and has always done his best to please me.

Bless the hands that send him to you Father,
for they are doing so in love and compassion,
freeing him from pain and suffering.

Grant me the strength not to dwell on my loss.
Help me remember the details of Snoopy’s life
with the love he has shown me.
And grant me the courage to honor him
by sharing those memories with others.

Let Snoopy remember me as well God
and tell him that I will always love him.
And when it's my time to pass over into your paradise, please allow him to accompany those
who will bring me home.

Thank you, Lord, for the gift of Snoopy’s companionship and for the time we've had together.

And thank you, Lord, for granting me the strength
to give him to you now.

Amen.
